First-Year
Health Administration
Case Competition
The Ohio State University First-Year Health Administration Case Competition provides first-year graduate students from health administration programs across the country an opportunity to put what they have learned into practice with a real-life case. It is designed to be a superb supplementary exercise to the graduate school experience, especially for first year students, who often do not have the chance to participate in case competitions.
Our case competition is capped at 24 teams.
This is the only health administration case competition in the country that is organized, coordinated, and executed solely by students. The Association for Future Healthcare Executives (AFHE) is the student group that is responsible for the planning and execution of the event. The Ohio State University is very proud of the effort made by its MHA students to put on this annual event, and of how the case competition has grown every year to include more top-tier programs and schools. This year's case competition will allow teams an opportunity to present their recommendations before a national team of judges who are all working professionals in fields related to health administration.
Thanks to generous OSU MHA alumni contributions, we have increased our prize amounts, and we are now awarding 1st, 2nd, 3rd, AND 4th place!
1st place: $6,000
2nd place: $4,500
3rd place: $3,000
4th place: $1,500
